This paper elaborates the key points during the development of the 1 100 TEU feeder containership;compared with other ships of this type constructed in the same period both home and abroad, this new type has the merits of compact scales, complete functions, energy saving and environmental friendly features, and complies with the requirements of the latest international regulations.
