Performance of Nothingness——A Different Interpretation to Le Chaise

历来对尤涅斯库《椅子》的阐释忽视了剧中无处不在的表演性。剧中两位主人公举行的人生秘密的演讲会,不过是投射他们潜意识深层欲望的表演游戏。这场表演游戏是主人公一直期待的心理补偿,也折射出他们种种矛盾心理,显示出他们存在的虚无。两位老人的欲望与幻想,反映出作者对人类的集体无意识和生存本质问题的哲学思考。

For years, interpretation to Le Chaise has ignored the pervasive performance of the play. The speech of life secret held by the two protagonists is nothing but the role - playing game which mirrors the desire in their sub - con- sciousness. This role -playing game is the psychological compensation which the two protagonists expected all the time. It also reflects their paradox and demonstrates the nothingness of their existence. Their desire and fantasy reflect the au- thor~ philosophical thinking on collective unconsciousness and nature of being.
