Several Questions about the Study of Ancient Chinese Cultural History

从20世纪80年代开始,文化史研究再度兴起,它打破了此前公式化、概念化通史一家独盛的局面,使史学研究内容多元丰富起来。继则因国学及儒学研究的再兴,中国古代文化史的研究呈现方兴未艾之势。但关于文化史的概念、体例、分期、中外比较及传统文化与现代化关系诸方面,仍存在一些理论上需要深入讨论的问题,必须认真思考和对待。

In the 1980s, cultural history research revived and broke away from the previous formulized and conceptualized situation, making historiography rich in contents. With the revival of Confucianism, the study of ancient Chinese cultural history has presented a thriving trend. However, there are still some problems with the cultural history in terms of the concept, style, stage, comparison, and the relation between traditional culture and modem culture. These problems require in-depth discussion and careful consideration.
