As a typical cross-cultural movie, My Big Fat Greek Wedding is about Tula, a Greek American girl, with her American boyfriend Ian, overcame a series of obstacles and eventually held a beautiful Greek wedding. The movie shows us a thorough picture of how Greek Americans live, humorously reflecting the conflicts between Greek culture and American culture. Guided by Hofstede＆#39;s cross-cultural theory, this paper is to explore how Greek Americans should handle the conflicts, thus realizing the harmonious co-exis-tence with mainstream American culture.
