摘要
《哈克贝利·芬恩历险记》与《汤姆?索亚历险记》是马克?吐温儿童文学的代表作,文章从哈克与汤姆的表现和性格特征出发,分析了流浪汉身上的共性,即身世可怜、淘气、正直、勇敢、热衷冒险。在此基础上,结合《等待戈多》、《衬衫领子》、《被欺凌的与被侮辱的》三部小说,运用神话原型批评理论,探究了流浪汉原型在小说中的具体体现,以期对这两部作品方面的解读有一定的启示。
The adventures of HuckleberryFinn and the adventures of Tom Sawyer are the masterpieces of Mark Twain's literary works that closely relating to the life of children. This essay is based on the behaviors and characters of the heroes and further concludes that both Huck and Tom were born in poor families, being naughty, upright, brave and adventurous. By analyzing another three novels---Waiting for Godot, The Collar and The Insulted and Humiliated, the archetype of tramps are finally revealed via the theory of archetypal criticism in the essay, which intends to offer some hints for the explanation of the two novels.
