Spatio-temporal image correlation (STIC) is one of the latest dynamic three-dimensional echocardiography to examine cardiac function of fetus. With the development of ultrasonic technique, STIC technology shows heart morphology, structure and function more solidly and visually. It has important value in discovering prenatal fetal cardiovascular malformation, especially in detecting fetal abnormal cardiac function. This article reviewed the imaging principle, imaging mode and the application of STIC technology in fetal heart examination.
