Legendre moment has been widely used in pattern recognition and image processing.It has the merits of orthogonality and minimal information redundancy.This paper presents a new way of linear registration using the Legendre moment.It has important value in the registration and fusion in multi modality medical image,and in the radiotherapy treatment program system.
