“Virtual and Actual”——The Explanation of the Series of Sculptures Named Prescription Created by Wang Xinggang

虚与实是中国传统美学的一对概念，在中国传统艺术批评中有广泛的运用。尽管今天的艺术批评家已经不太使用这对概念，但我想不出有比它们更好的术语来慨括王兴刚雕迥的审美特征。

Pengfeng took advantage of the conceptions of 'virtual and actual' to make an explantation of series of sculptures named Prescription created by Wang Xinggang.On the sculptures of the six representative figures: worker,farmer,merchant,student and solider,there are some empty drawers which can be opened by others,what is the meaning of those empty drawers ﹖ Is that indicate a kind of medicine or indicate the sense of nothingness ﹖ They really manifest a kind of conceptions which belong to Zen.This work was made in rosewood and acrylic materials interchangeably,actually they formed a sort of new conception of 'virtual and actual'.
