In detail, 'Material Scarcity' refers to the lack of study in terms of material, medium,technical methods and tools in the scope of the study on history and theory of sculpture art.Furthermore, sculpture study, as one of the aesthetic studies, had already included the cultural research, sociology research and aesthetic research and so on,but it still lacks the research of physical characteristics or materiality of sculpture art.One of the most harmful mistake in the previous sculpture studies was the ignorance of the characteristics of the mediums of sculptural materials,that is to say,the lack of the research of the physical characteristics or materiality of sculpture art.
