In the exploration of research-oriented teaching of ＂Outline of Chinese Modern His- tory＂, literature reading as the basic teaching requirement plays an important role. Literature reading can help teachers and students to complete together the design and study, discussion, the collision of thoughts and realize the effective extension of teaching. Literature reading is the effec- tive way to cultivate the students＇ attitudes and methods, enhance their learning ability and culti- vate their spirit of exploration and creation consciousness in the study of Chinese modern history.
