数字化技术的发展既造就了物质生活方式的变革也带来了精神生活方式的变革。人的物质生活不能称为虚拟生存,虚拟生存指称的是以数字化技术特别是虚拟技术为客观物质基础的人的精神活动。虚拟认同不是对数字化技术的功能性认同,而是指对虚拟生存方式的认同,亦即人们对数字化技术的发展所造就的人的虚拟生存活动及其特点所持有的态度和行为选择。虚拟生存活动在丰富人们的精神生活、有利于社会价值观念塑造的同时也带来了相应的文化风险,造成了虚拟认同的困境。理论上,既要对虚拟认同的影响给予合理的定位又要对当代虚拟认同的困境给予合理的审视。

The development of digital technology has undergone the changes of the material lifestyle as well as spiritual lifestyle. Material life for humans is not virtual existence and virtual survival is a kind of human mental activity, which is based on the virtual technology, especially digital technology. Virtual Identity is not functional recognition to digital technology, but to the virtual way of life, or rather, the people's attitudes and behavior options to the human virtual survival activities and its characteristics created by digital technology development. Virtual survival activities enrich people's spiritual life and help to shape social values.Meanwhile, it brings about corresponding cultural risks, resulting in a plight on virtual identity. Theoretically, the effects of virtual identity and the plight of contemporary virtual identity should be reasonably handled.
