想象性聚焦:渊源及功能

摘要 肇始于Henry James的经典聚焦理论,在极大地推进了小说研究的同时,自身也形成了一些难以逾越的困境。针对经典聚焦理论中的困境,在分析了Margolin的模拟者的转换聚焦、Chatman观念聚焦中的可想象性经验、Jahn的视觉映像、Herman的假设性聚焦以及Nunning的建构主义聚焦理论的基础上,"想象性聚焦"回答了在真实的聚焦者不在场的情况下,他是如何进行聚焦的问题,从而解释叙事学中被经典聚焦理论所认为的聚焦转换或者越界,最大程度地保持叙事聚焦的一致性。想象性聚焦有助于绕开基于时空概念建立起来的经典聚焦理论中的聚焦划分所形成的僵局,使得许多被经典叙事理论认作的聚焦转换或者聚焦越界可以在一个统一的、综合的聚焦理论中得以理解。
