飞廉之死考

A Study of Feilian's Death

关于飞廉之死,《史记》与《孟子》的记载完全不同,新近整理的清华简《系年》与《孟子》的记载近同。结合后世学者的对于飞廉之死的史料选择,加之其时商周的军事实力对比,可以推测《孟子》所载飞廉之死合乎史实。

Feilian＇s death in 《Mengzi》and《Shiji》 is different , but 《 Mengzi》and bamboo slips about 《Xinian》 collected by Ts- inghua University are nearly the same. Ancient and modern scholars all hold that Feilian＇s death in 《Mengzi》 is reasonable. At that time, the military power of Zhou is weaker than Shang. To sum up, Feilian＇s death in 《 Mengzi》 is reasonable.
