摘要
本文用一阶微扰理论研究渐变芯各向异性光纤的偏振特性。结果表明,在单模区域,如果芯层和包层的材料双折射异号,那么零偏振模色散总是能达到。这项研究从理论上给出一个新的方法,设计具有零偏振模色散的色移保偏光纤。
Polarisation characteristcs of graded-core anisotropic opticalfibres are studied using the first-order perturbation theory. It is foundthat in the monomode region,zero polarization-mode dispersion(PMD)is always achievable if the material birefringence in the core and claddingare of opposite sign.This research theoretically gives a new way fordesigning dispersion-shifted polarization-maintaining fibres with zeroPMD.
