Ningbo, a city well-known for its seafood and businessmen, has become one of China’s biggest trade centers because it has a harbor ranking the fourth in throughout put in the world. Ningbo takes up only a thousandth of China’s lands but enjoys one twentieth of total foreign trade in China. Once being the beginning point of"Maritime Silk Road", what role will it play in China’s foreign trade in the Internet Era?There are two characteristics in Ningbo’s economy. First, it enjoys a rich business culture. Second, private enterprises are very active there. Ningbo was one of the three most important foreign trade cities in Tang Dynasty and the place of departure of"Maritime Silk Road". Since the beginning of the Age of Sail, Ningbo has ranked among the world’s most important ports and played a significant role in foreign trade.With the worsening of export situations, traditional foreign trade enterprises begin to face the challenge of transition. In response to the challenges, more and more people are trying to explore a way of transition which goes well for Ningbo.
