Useful Suggestions about the Construction of the Harmonious Atmosphere in the English classroom of Vocational Colleges

高职院校的英语教学中存在着诸多的问题,它们严重影响了课堂教学的和谐。要解决这些问题,提高英语教学的质量,教师们应该在"皮格马利翁"效应的指导下用鼓励与温暖让学生重拾自信。与此同时,我们还应该充分地利用多媒体这一教学媒介,加上各类英语竞赛作为有力的推手,不断地优化教学理念,最终建构和谐的课堂氛围。

There are many problems in the English teaching of vocational colleges which seri-ously affect the harmony of the classroom. To solve these problems and to improve the quality of English teaching, teachers should be under the guidance of the ＂Pygmalion effect＂. They should en-courage the students in order to rebuild their confidence. At the same time, they should make full use of multimedia. Last but not least, they should use English competitions as a powerful promoter to op-timize the teaching philosophy and eventually construct a harmonious atmosphere in the classroom.
