摘要
隐喻是语篇建构的重要手段,具有语篇连贯功能。以《新世纪大学英语综合教程》的课文为例,从概念隐喻的视角进行分析,分析表明,概念隐喻能有效实现语篇的显性和隐性连贯,概念隐喻的系统性以及概念域之间的互动发展使语篇形成连贯的整体。认为这一分析可应用于大学英语阅读教学,以提升学生对语篇深层次连贯的理解。
Metaphor is an important means for the arrangement of discourse,which contributes to the coherence of discourse.In this paper,several texts from New Century College English Integrat-ed Course are analysed from the perspective of conceptual metaphor,which reveals that conceptual metaphor is really effective for coherence of discourse,either implicitly or explicitly,and the system-aticness of conceptual metaphor and the interaction between conceptual domains both contribute to co-herence of discourse.It is suggested that such analysis be applied to college English reading teaching, in order to enhance students’understanding of deep-level coherence of discourse.
