摘要
传统无线传感器网络(WSN)的MAC协议已经不能满足无线多媒体传感器网络(WMSN)在实时传输视频、声音和图像等方面的要求,因此提出了一种改进的WMSN-MAC协议。这种自适应的MAC协议基于特定应用对应的不同的QoS需求进行竞争窗口的调整,并根据流量的类型和大小,以不牺牲服务质量为前提动态调整工作周期。仿真实验结果显示该协议在时延、吞吐量和能量节省等方面均比S-MAC协议有显著改进,是一种具有服务质量保障和能量效率的无线多媒体传感器网络MAC协议。
The traditional MAC protocols in WSN cannot meet the requirements to deliver video,audio and image in WMSN,thus an im-proved protocol for WMSN-MAC is proposed. The adaptive protocol adjusts the contention window depending on the application-specif-ic diverse QoS-requirements,then it adjusts the duty cycle based on the major application traffic and preserves the sensory energy without sacrificing QoS provisioning dynamically. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm achieves significant improvements in de-lay,throughout and energy saving,and it is a QoS-based and energy-efficient MAC protocol for WMSN.
