摘要
《南诏德化杯》立碑目的是南诏史研究尤其是南诏与吐蕃关系研究中需要探究的一个问题。讨论南诏人当时为何要立此碑,应重视此碑所记内容。分析碑文,可以看出所谓南诏立此碑是为了向唐表明背唐投蕃是迫不得已的说法难以令人信服。从碑文所记来看,立碑是在为阁罗凤歌功颂德的同时,向吐蕃示好,表明其继续维持与吐蕃结盟而与唐保持对立的政治态度。
The purpose of erecting ＂The Nanzhao Monument＂ is an important issue on the relation- ship between Nanzhao and Tufan Kingdoms. Our study shows that the purpose of erecting ＂The Nanzhao Monument＂, revealing to the Tang Dynasty that the Nanzhao Kingdom took side with the Tufan Kingdom reluctantly, is groundless. The real purpose is that the Nanzhao Kingdom wanted to maintain alliance with the Tufan Kingdom and to keep oppo- sition to the Tang Dynasty.
