孟浩然诗歌英译研究评述

History of Studies on the English Translation of Poems of Meng Haoran

有必要加大孟浩然诗歌的翻译力度,力求在数量和质量上均有所提高;有必要对现存孟浩然诗歌英译本进行对比研究,从而改善孟浩然诗歌翻译现存的误译、漏译、错译等弊病。通过对孟浩然诗歌英译本进行对比研究,开启孟浩然及中国古代文学研究的新思路,更好的传播中国古典诗歌文化。

Chinese scholars started to pay highly attention to the study of poems of Meng Haoran,a famous poet of Tang Dynasty,since 1970s,but there are only very small quantities of English translations of his poems at home and abroad. This paper makes a study of the present situation of the English translation of poems of Meng Haoran and argues that it is necessary to increase the quantity and quality of English translations of poems of Meng Haoran and to revise the mistakes in the English translations through the comparative analysis so as to better broadcast the culture of Chinese classical poetry by expanding the research vision of Chinese literary study.
