忠贞保国:明末土司秦良玉的历史人类学研究

Loyalty and Patriot: a Historical Anthropological Study of Toast Qin Liangyu at the End of Ming Dynasty

秦良玉是明朝末年石砫地区的一名女性土司,其一生可以用"忠贞保国"四个字概括。"忠贞"表现为忠于明朝、忠于国家;"保国"主要体现在平定土司叛乱、与后金辽东大战以及与张献忠为首的农民军的对抗。秦良玉虽为良将但未遇明主,虽不曾担任三军主帅却立下赫赫战功。她忠于明朝,矢志不渝,后世史官因此为其立传并使其流芳千古。

Qin Liangyu is a female Toast in Shizhu District at the end of the Ming Dynasty. Loyalty and patriot are the best words for her life. The word loyalty is best reflected in her loyalty to Ming Dynasty and the country while the word patriot, in the pacification of toast rebellions, resisting the invasion of the forces of Late Jin Dynasty in Liaodong District and fighting off the farmer rebellions led by Zhang Xianzhong. Though a good general, she was unfornate to be a subject of an unwise emperor. Though not promoted to be a chief commander, she still made great contribution. Her perseverance and loyalty has won her a place in the history.
