摘要《楚辞》总题名英译是供译语读者识别这一中华典籍的重要标识。随着《楚辞》英译的蓬勃发展,针对这一总题名的英译已有不下十数种,且不同译本对于同一题名的内涵解读颇有不同。如此繁多的译本在给译语读者带来困惑的同时,难免降低这一典籍在海外的影响力和接受度。通过对比分析法,分析所收集的十五种具有代表性的"楚辞"总题名英译,有助于挖掘楚辞题名中最需保留的文化内涵,并由此遴选出最能体现这些核心文化内涵的《楚辞》题名英译,以供商榷。 The distinctive Chinese cultural identities encompassed in the book title of the ancient Chinese classic Chuci has granted special significance to its title translation. With the recent flourish in the translation of Chuci, various English versions of the Chuci book title has emerged. Different versions containing different understanding of the connotations in Chuci may easily puzzle the target readers. Through contrastive analysis of fifteen representative English translations of the book title of Chuci, the most essential cultural information within the title that should be given priority in translation can be grasped. Based on the above approach, the suitable English version manifesting such key information can be obtained.
