Pragmatic Guidelines for Ideological Analysis

意识形态和语言使用是密不可分的。虽然对意识形态的研究方法很多,但却鲜有从语用学的角度来细致全面地分析语篇意识形态意义的。Verschueren所提出的意识形态语用学分析框架是建立在语用原则的基础上,认为语言的使用就是选择和意义生成的过程。语言使用是意识形态最显化的特征。对意识形态意义的分析就是读者根据语境在选择语言形式进行意义生成和阐释的过程。

Ideology and language are closely related to each other. Although there are a lot of approaches to the study of ideol- ogy, nearly none of them adopts pragmatics. The pragmatic guidelines for ideological analysis put forward by Verschueren are based on some pragmatic principles which hold that the use of language is the process of choice-making and meaning genera- tion. The use of language is the most explicit representation of ideology. The analysis of ideology is actually a process of choice-making for meaning generation according to the context and the process of interpretation.
