Review on the Russian Theory of Equivalent Translation

文学翻译的核心是艺术形象的等值,它不仅涉及文学语言的客体性因素,还体现文本解读的主体性因素。囿于语言层面描写翻译等值层次的语言学模式,难以全面揭示这种多维的复杂过程。因此,阐述等值层次理论的本质内涵,剖析其对艺术形象等值解释力的理论局限,论证等值层次理论应该涵盖描写文学翻译的文艺学模式,以使这种理论体系更为完善,描写方法更显科学。

The essence of literary translation is equivalence of artistic image, which not only relates to objective factors of liter- ary language, but also reflects subjective factors of text interpretation. Constrained by literary way of describing equivalent translation on the linguistic level, it is difficult to reveal the complicated multi-dimensional process. Therefore, we should ex- pound the nature of equivalent translation theory, analyze the theoretical limit of equivalent translation of artistic image, and demonstrate the conclusion that equivalent translation theory should include literary way of describing literary translation, so as to complete this theoretical system and make the describing method more scientific.
