本文通过对北欧数国市政厅及市民广场的考察,对比中西方建筑设计思想的差异,提出开放民主的人本意识是西方建筑设计思想的精髓所在。

This paper, by an observation of the city halls and civic squares in Northern European countries and a comparison of the differences in the Chinese and western architectural thinking, argues that ＂humanism＂, which features openness and democracy, is at the core of the western architectural thinking.
