摘要
报道了一种结构紧凑的自调Q双包层Er-Yb共掺光纤(EYDF)环形激光器。利用双包层EYDF同时作为增益光纤和可饱和吸收体,光纤光栅(FBG)作为波长选择器,实现了中心波长1539.80nm的稳定自调Q脉冲输出。自调Q运转可在泵浦功率376~1'208mW的较大范围内获得,调Q重复频率从7.40kHz到64.2kHz连续可调谐。自调Q最短脉冲宽度为1.8μs,最大单脉冲能量为1.65μJ,最大平均输出功率为81.3mW,调Q脉冲的频谱信噪比(SNR)最高可达60dB。
A compact self-Q-switched erbium/ytterbium co-doped double-cladding fiber (EYDF) ring la- ser is demonstrated. Using an EYDF as both the gain fiber and saturable absorber,a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) as the wavelength-selective element, the laser can operate at the status of stable self-Q-switching with the central wavelength of 1539.80 nm and narrow linewidth of 0. 07 nm. The self-Q-switching op- eration can keep in a wide pump power range from 376 mW to 1 208 mW. As the pump power increas- ing,the pulse repetition rate can be continuously tuned from 7.40 kHz to 64. 2 kHz. When the pump power reaches 1208 mW,the largest pulse repetition rate of 64. 2 kHz can be achieved. The largest aver- age output power of 81.3 mW is obtained from the 90% port of the optic coupler. The shortest pulse du- ration and the largest single pulse energy of the Q-switched laser are 1.8μs and 1.65 μJ, respectively. The self-Q-switching operation is stable with the radio-frequency signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of more than 60 dB.
