Huangxiuqiu , a good work reflecting the problem of women＇ s liberation in the late Qing dynasty, lacks due research at the present academia. By analyzing its writing background and systematically combing its research status quo, the present paper en- deavors to reveal its research value, thus laying the foundation for the later systematic and in - depth research of the novel.
