Patients with refractory epilepsy caused by unilateral hemishere can be treated by nerve fibers disconnection surgery. These surgeries include corpus callosotomy, hemisphere section, and posterior quadrant （ temporal,parietal,and occipital lobes ） dissection. To provide reference for clinical treatment, here is to make a review of the development of nerve fibers dissection surgery from hemispherectomy to hemisphere section and posterior quadrant dissection, summarizing corresponding surgical indications and possible sequela.
