Standard Missile of the U.S. Navy is a series of active duty missiles, the main models of which ranges from Standard 1 to Standard 6. Each model has a variety of improved sub-model on different stage of development. They are not only the main current air missile weapons on U.S. Navy battleship, but also exported to many countries and regions, is the world＇s largest equipment, which are the most widely used air missile systems in the world. This paper analyzes the development process of the Standard Missiles, and discusses the far-reaching impact it brings on the world naval air defense missile development.
