翁同龢“荐康”之说考辨

Research into the Myth of Recommending Kang Youwei to the Emperor Guangxu by Weng Tonghe

关于晚清名臣翁同龢与戊戌维新领袖康有为之间的关系,一直以来被世人普遍认同的观点是,翁康二人关系甚密,是翁同龢向光绪帝推荐了康有为。在康有为的著述中亦可找到诸多翁氏"荐康"的相关内容,但在翁同龢的著述中,却有着截然相反的态度。事实究竟为何?通过对当事人及相关人物所记载史料进行分析研究,可推断翁同龢"荐康"之说不可信。

The relationship between WengTonghe and Kangyouwei , the leader of the Wuxu Reform which happened in the late Qing Dynasty, there has been a popular myth that Mr .Weng and Mr.Kang had an intimate relationship and it was Mr .Wong who recommended Mr.Kang to the Emperor Guangxu .We can also find more relevant evidence of this in Kang Youwei ’s books.But if we study the books written by WengTonghe , we can find some contradictory and even opposite account concerning this affair .So, what on earth is the true situation at that time？By analyzing the historical data recorded by these two people and the other parties in -volved, this paper draws the inference that the so -called “WengTonghe’s recommendation of Kang Youwei to the emperor Guan-gxu” cannot hold water .
