Rousseau＇s social contract theory ethical thought shines brilliantly in the history of mankind＇s understanding history. This paper analyzes this thought from four aspects, namely; the nature of man and society, moral emotions and conscience, the relationship of love yourself and love others, political and ethical issues of social contract theory, then evaluates its rationality and limitations, finally, it concludes theuseful inspiration inall aspects oflife inmodern society.
