To be a qualified librarian, those who graduated from library and information science need to renew their knowledge structure and receive continuing education. It is expounded that, based on their condition, the librarians should study deeply one or two subjects to meet the talent requirements in the future information environment. Also, the barriers in continuing education and their countermeasures are discussed.
