摘要
偏远地区的英语教学水平始终是我国中学英语教学的薄弱环节。甘肃偏远山区尽管在英语教学中投入大量精力,效果却始终不明显。当前符号学的发展为研究语言提供了另一种途径。教师应通过探讨语言的符号属性,将语言看作是一种符号化的知识系统,并依据此视角在教学过程中尝试将符号与映像表征对应,以增强学生学习兴趣,提高其学习效率。
Secondary school English education of rural area in China is constantly showing its weakness. In remote mountainous areas of Gansu province,English education suffers from the "high input, while low output" situation. The current development of semiotics offers a new way to English teaching. This paper aims to discuss the semiotic property of language and consider English as a semiotic knowledge system, to try a new teaching way to connect the symbol and its represented image, which could raise learners' motivation and learning effectiveness.
