新闻语篇中的引语类型及话语来源分析——以英国《卫报》对莫言荣获诺贝尔文学奖的报道为例

An Analysis of Quotations and Their Sources of Information in News Discourses in a Guardian Report on Mo Yan Winning Nobel Literature Prize

为了使大众信服新闻报道中的内容,新闻语篇常常会使用大量的引语。文章以英国《卫报》对莫言荣获诺贝尔文学奖的报道为语料,重点分析了引语的话语来源及报道中大量出现的直接引语,力图揭示新闻媒体如何借助引语传递观点并隐秘地表达其主观倾向性。通过分析发现,新闻媒体更倾向于截取他人话语中与自己观点和立场一致的信息;为了增强报道的可信性,媒体对绝大部分话语来源进行了明确标示,但有时却会刻意修改话语来源而使被引信息更符合自己的立场。

News discourses usually adopt quotations to convince the public of the reported information . Taking a Guardian report on Mo Yan winning Nobel literature prize as data ,this paper focuses on the sources of quoted information and high-percentage direct speeches to demonstrate how the media con-vey their stances and implicitly express their subjectivity via quotations .It is show n that the media tend to select the information conforming to their position and to enhance credibility by marking the sources of information explicitly ,but at times the media will alter the sources intentionally to make the quoted information accord with their stances .
