摘要
从双语习得,认知,情感与学业发展,双语教育模式与评估,社会正义与公平四个方面对双语现象及双语教育半个多世纪的理论进行了梳理,指出双语教育是一种可行的具有转型意义、适应21世纪发展需求的教育模式;双语教育的分歧、困惑不在双语教育本身,而在与之相关的社会政治、经济、文化及意识形态层面。认为在交际方式呈现多语种、多模态特征的全球化时代,构建适合各类群体、尤其是少数族裔等弱势群体的双语教育模式,提升群体间相互理解与尊重,实现社会正义与公平,依然是一道有待破解的理论难题。
particular e This thesis starts with a review of theories of bilingualism and bilingual education mphasis up education models and education is a feasible on bilingual acquisition, cognitive, affective and academic developme assessment, bilingual education and social justice. It then argues t transformative education practice to educate children in the twenty-f nt, hat with ingual ingual lrst century. Controversies and debates revolving around bilingual education have to be explained in reference to the social, political, ideological, cultural, and economic factors, rather than the education itself. It is finally suggested that a main theoretical hard nut to be cracked in today's multilingual, multimodal communicative networks is to establish bilingual education models meeting the specific needs of a variety of groups, especially those from minorities and weak groups in the hope that intergroup understanding and friendship can be enhanced and social justice can be achieved.
