Contrastive Study and Translation of Ellipsis in Chinese and English

主语、谓语、宾语、介词、连词五个方面在汉英语言中都存在省略现象，它们反映了汉英语言省略形式的差异。通过分析产生差异的原因，提出相关处理对策，以期为译者在汉英互译中处理好两种语言的省略现象提供借鉴。

A contrastive study of ellipsis in Chinese and English is conducted in five respects. Subject, predicate, object, preposition and conjunction bring to light the differences of ellipsis in Chinese and English languages. By analyzing the reasons of differences in translation between Chinese and English, the article puts forward corresponding countermeasures, so as to provide reference for translators in their treatment of ellipsis in bilingual translation.
