This interview is not only concerned with Harold Bloom's insightful view of the Western Canon, but also some topics seldom discussed in his previous interviews or criticisms, such as his new works,The Anatomy of Influence and The Shadow of A Great Rock, and the subtle relations between Jewish mysticism Kabbalah and poetry, religion and literature. For Harold Bloom, literature contains religion, and his passionate love for literature reminds us of a pious follower of the religious faith.Literature for him is not merely the best part of life, but the only form of life.
