顺应论视角下新时期委婉语探析

Analysis of Euphemism in New Era From the Perspective of the Theory of Adaptation

有关委婉语的研究已趋向成熟,但这些研究通常都是从语义学、修辞学、文体学等角度对委婉语进行宽泛地研究,对新时期委婉语的研究则很少。委婉语的产生和使用与社会、文化、心理等因素密切相关,不同时期人们的社会心理与文化不尽相同,委婉语会随着时代大背景的变化而变化,产生新的特质。将顺应论应用于新时期委婉语的研究,并从语境顺应、结构顺应、动态顺应三个方面分析新时期委婉语,旨在引导人们更正确、巧妙地使用委婉语,避免交际中的尴尬和沟通失败,从而使交际更加顺利进行。

Although the researches about euphemism have already tended to be mature,they usually probe into the study of euphemism broadly from the perspective of semantics,rhetoric,stylistics,etc. Nevertheless,the study of euphemism in new era is barely touched upon. The generation and application of euphemisms are closely related to the social,cultural,psychological and other factors. In different periods,people’s social psychology and culture are not completely the same. Euphemism changes with time and generates new characters. This paper attempts to apply the Theory of Adaptation to the research of euphemism in new era from three aspects： contextual adaptation,structural adaptation and dynamic adaptation,which aims at achieving more correct and concise usage of euphemism and avoiding embarrassment and failure in the course of communication,and finally making more smooth communication.
