Methanol degradation method for rapid detection of the DEG content in PET was selected. The principle,in- strument ,equipment,detection process of the method was introduced. The effects of heating time ,cooling rate,particle size of PET chip ,sealing of reaction tube on experiment results were discussed. The method is accurate,rapid and practical.
