This paper introduced the main contents of geology research and water points research of hydrogeology research in mining area, and re searched the hydrogeology exploration method from geophysical prospecting, drilling, test, experiment, monitoring five aspects, pointed out that understanding the contents of hydrogeology exploration in mining area and the exploration methods was the basis of doing good hydrogeology exploration.
