Correct Understanding and Translation of “Being”

要想理解和翻译好being,并在理解和把握being的问题上超过自古以来的西方哲学界的研究水平,我们必须连续进行下列六个逻辑转换:一,being是英语单词的代表;二,词是语言的代表;三,语言是人类思维过程和思维结果的主要物质化方式之一;四,所谓的思维过程就是人对客体进行主观处理的过程;五,所谓的主观处理就是人对客体进行多方面、多角度、多层次的考察和描述的过程;六,西方哲学界两千多年来不断追问什么是being,其所起的真正功能是在不断追问什么是主观处理,以及主观处理与语言表达方式之间的关系。

To understand and translate ＂being＂ well, and to transcend the research level of Western philosophy from ancient times in understanding and grasping the ＂being＂ problem, we must continuously carry out the following six logical conversions： Firstly, ＂being＂ is the representative of English words; secondly, words are the representative of language; thirdly, language is one of the main materialization ways of human thinking process and result; fourthly, the so -called thinking process is one of hu- man subjective treatment of the object; fifthly, the so - called subjective treatment is a process of muhifaeeted, multi - angle, multi - level human study and description of the object; and lastly, regarding the two thousand years of continuous questioning of what is ＂being＂ in the field of Western philosophy, its real function is to question constantly what is subjective and the relation- ship between subjective processing and how to express it in the language.
