Discussion on the Reform of English Major Curriculum Setting Oriented by Employment in Private Colleges

高校英语专业毕业生就业率持续走低,该专业连续4年受到"红牌"警告,主要原因在于英语专业课程设置与社会严重脱节,本文旨在通过阐述英语专业课程设置中的主要问题,提出以就业为导向的专业课程改革的几点建议。

The employment rate of college graduates majoring in English is increasingly low,and this major has been subjected to＂red card＂ warning for four consecutive years,mainly resulting from the severe disconnect between English major curriculum setting and the society.Through elaborating the main problems in English major curriculum setting,this paper is aimed to pro-pose several suggestions for the professional curriculum reform oriented by employment.
