A Brief Discussion on the English Teaching Reform Oriented by Practical Talents Training in Higher Vocational Colleges

高职院校的公共英语教学存在很多问题,这些问题很大程度上影响了教学的效果。本文就教学中存在的问题进行深入研究,认为高职公共英语教学改革势在必行。高职公共英语教学要根据高职教育特点,基于学生的实际需要和现实水平来制定英语教学的培养目标。课程的设置模式和内容要满足行业和企业对英语实用技能的需求,强化就业导向和能力本位,在打好语言基础的同时,更要注重学生英语实用型技能的培养。

There are many problems in English teaching in higher vocational colleges. These problems greatly affect the ef-fect of English teaching in higher vocational colleges. Modern English teaching in higher vocational colleges should abandon the former way of blind imitation of college English teaching model and improve students＇ interest in English. English train-ing objectives of higher vocational colleges should be made ac-cording to the characteristics of higher vocational education, based on the actual needs of the students and the actual level of the students.Higher vocational English curriculum pattern should meet the requirements of industries and enterprises on English skills,strengthen employment-oriented and ability-stan-dard, play good language foundation and pay more attention to the cultivation of the students＇ English practical skills.
