“编辑学”作为术语的追本溯源——一个国际视角

The Source of Editology/Redactology as a Term: An International Perspective

以"编辑学"这一学科术语为讨论对象,对"中国科学技术期刊编辑学会"(包括其《编辑学报》)所采用的英文对应语editology(编辑学)和"中国编辑学会"所认可的英文对应语redactology(编辑学)追本溯源地予以考证和比较。除了通过引入"编辑研究"这一国际视角,对"编辑学"的英文对应语的选择提出自己的看法,还特别指出,在西方学界,不仅编辑理论(editorial theory)一直被视为文学研究的重要方面,编辑活动也一直被当成对作者最终意图的一种提供。

This paper traces editology used by China Society of Scientific and Technical Periodicals Editing and redactology adopted by China Redactological Society to their source. It introduces the international perspective of editorial study and proposes ideas on the two terms. It specifically points out that in western academia editorial theory is an important dimension of literary study, and editing activities are considered as a means to arrive at the authorial intention.
