摘要
我国的大学英语正处在一个转型时期,ESP是我国大学英语教学和国际大学接轨的必由之路。医学院校承担着培养具有国际竞争力的医学人才的重任,建立起一支ESP师资队伍是实现这一目标的重要保障。ESP作为语言教学的属性和英语教师转型的意愿为ESP师资队伍的建设提供了前提。在具体的队伍建设上,根据美国大学教师发展模型,只有个人、群体、机制、宏观环境四位一体才能打造出一支服务于ESP教学的师资队伍。
The college English teaching in China is undergoing a transitional phase, and ESP education is an inevitable way to bridge the gap between our college English teaching and international norms. Medical universities shoulder the responsibility to cultivate medical talents with international competitiveness, and a well-established ESP teaching staff team is an important guarantee of that goal. The features of language teaching and the willingness to be ESP teachers constitute the prereq- uisites for ESP teaching staff construction. According to the model of faculty development in American universities, an ESP teaching staff team can only be established through an integral system encompassing individuals, collectivity, mechanism and macro-academic environment.
