The spatial coordination between population distribution and service facilities arrangement is an impor- tant indicator of a city's urbanization and economic development, which provides guidance on the reasonable distri- bution of population and the space optimization of service facilities. The analysis of the spatial autocorrelation be- tween the space population density and service facilities layout shows that the spatial population distribution of the city is characterized by an increasing concentric layer surrounding the central zone of Shanghai and an obvious spa- tial agglomeration. The result indicates that the spatial distribution of supermarkets is relatively consistent with the distribution of population while the distribution of banks presents a "high-high" spatial agglomeration in the center of the city. In addition, the grey entropy correlation analysis results also show that there is a highly positive correla- tion between Shanghai population distribution and service facilities layout at the micro level.
