Services outsourcing industry is a global industry division of labor under the background of knowledge-intensive modem services industry, which is characterized by low energy consumption, low pollution, high value-added and high growth rate. Using the method of spatial gravity center as well as the Correlation coefficient technique, this paper conducts a systematic research on China' s services outsourcing industry and spatial distribution and evolution of scientific and technological innovation through analyzing the descriptive data during 2006-2011 about the services outsourcing industry. It is found that China' s services outsourcing industry is relatively dispersed, with the gravity center fluctuating significantly, while spatial distribution of the center of scientific and technological innovation is relatively concentrated, with the movement of the gravity center contained in a relatively small space. In addition, the gravity center of services outsourcing industry and that of scientific and technological innovation is only slightly correlated in terms of geographic latitude, which means the effect of technological innovation on the development of services outsourcing industry is limited. This paper believes that China should intensify its efforts to adjust the imbalanced development of China' s services outsourcing industry and scientific and technological innovation so as to realize rapid upgrading and sustainable development of the services outsourcing industry with the aid of technological innovation.
