共和国文学中“组织”运作下的文学阅读——以《拖拉机站站长和总农艺师》为例

Literary Reading under the “Official” Operation in the Literary History of New China——A Case Study of The Tractor Station Master and Chief Agronomist

1955年12月,中篇小说《拖拉机站站长和总农艺师》被共青年团中央以组织名义号召全国范围内的广大青年进行阅读。以组织的名义要求读者阅读一部作品,这在人民共和国文学阅读史上显得很奇特。"组织"成为文学阅读的运作者和实际操作者,这样的文学阅读,遮蔽了文学阅读本身的自由性。但组织阅读在"百花文学"潮流中却产生了意想不到的效果,这或许是组织者根本没有预料到的事情。

In Dec. 1955, the novella The Tractor Station Master and Chief Agronomist was officially recommended for reading among youths across China by the central committee of Chinese Youth League, which was rather peculiar in the history of literary reading of the People＇s Republic of China, that is, readers were required to read a book in the name of a government body. Therefore, ＂the government institution＂ became the operator and actual manipulator in literary reading, thereby having masking the freedom of literary reading itself. However, the literary reading officially organized in the name of a certain government institution had led to some unexpected effect in the trend of ＂Flowers Literature＂ - quite beyond the expectation of the organizers themselves.
