Emily Bronte＇ s Wuthering Heights has played an important role in the history of literature. There have been many translation versions in China. The paper hopes to offer a deeper understanding of Yang Yi＇ s translation action, purpose and effect by reinterpreting Yang Yi＇ s translation in the rhetorical framework proposed by Kenneth Burke with some key concepts such as symbolic means, identification and terministic screen.
