As an outstanding represent of native man of letters, Dong Li-bo writes novels with marked local feature of XPCC （Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps）. Xiayedi,an unique art existence,is both a key word of Dong’s novels and a rerepresentation of a densified social and physical existence of Xinjiang in the early period of new China. Xiayedi harbours a poetic demension of multiple meanings. It follows that Xiayedi is Dong’s hallmark and a specific art style.
